I have been there long enough to know what the line of thinking is on this matter that vexes you.

For starters, the 15-20 season pass holders that will be the only riders showing up for the next week or so are not providing any income for the park on a daily basis. This income would cover fuel, employee wages, and cost incurred to operate said grooming machinery.

So here is the end of season little tid bit that will make your riding experience better:
1. Ask for some QUALIFIED HELP to hand groom that which you would like ride. Not help from the stand a bitch crew. The riders who are always the ones shaping and helping set rails.

2. Find the fun. I believe my good friend mr. chainsaw will back me up on this... you have to think outside the box at a place this small or you will give up riding. Not everyday is a Xgames set up. When you look at a park do only see the straight forward 1 hit 2 hit rail rail rail? If you take what's given to you and get creative with it that's when your day get's really short. I had bast jumping off the back of Tyrol's halfpipe a couple years ago with a good friend and the place was ours for the taking.

3. Get a crew of riders that are all on the same page with your beef and go take care of buisness.

Yes, it's frustrating. No, I don't believe I would for go grooming if the place was in my name. There's several issues that would be very different if that where the case. Alas, it's not and I can't say it every will be. But do yourself a favor and try to end the season on a positive note. Load up some snow and take it to the Higgloo. Go have street sesh. Dig a 1/4 out of the back of a mound of snow that's only 8 ft tall and put a barrel at the top. Hell, I got so fed up I went fishing at the river and as I looked up the hill I found a rythm section of 4 hits going diagonally from the beginer hill one season.

FIND THE FUN. IT'S WHY WE RIDE!

Yes... get creative with your lines, it will make you a way better rider in the long run. Not to give you kiddies the "I had to walk up hill both ways barefoot" speech but even-though the conditions might not be ideal, you don't know how good you have it. If you can't find that unique line that makes the day, look for the kid that did and ask if its cool to follow their line. If thats still not work'n out for you, bust out the XBox 360 and play amped (its the only place the conditions are perfect every time).
